Thoughtful 1:1 Support for Real-Life Bodies

Private sessions can be especially valuable when your body has changed, your needs are more specific, or a group class no longer feels like the right fit. Whether you’re returning to movement after surgery, working with injury or physical limitations, wanting to improve balance and mobility as you age, or simply needing more individual attention, I offer careful, personalized guidance shaped around your body and your goals. Together, we can work on strength, flexibility, alignment, breath, stress support, and building a practice that feels sustainable — not performative.

How private sessions work

Choose your format

Sessions are available in your home or online, depending on what best supports your needs and schedule.

Share what you’re working with

We’ll talk about your goals, history, and any current limitations — whether you’re focused on recovery, mobility, balance, strength, breathwork, or simply feeling more at home in your body.

Practice at your own pace

Each session is tailored to you, with clear guidance, thoughtful sequencing, and adjustments offered verbally and/or hands-on according to your preference.

Elizabeth Voetsch, in Kingston, NY, a private yoga instructor with 20 years experience, specializing in adaptive movement and recovery.

About Elizabeth

I’m a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider with 20 years of teaching experience, including workshops, teacher trainings, and hundreds of private sessions.

My background includes sixteen years of ballet training, Pilates, and continued study of anatomy and somatic awareness, which shape a teaching style that is both technically informed and deeply attentive.

I specialize in one-on-one work, where careful observation, adaptive sequencing, and personalized support can help students build strength, mobility, confidence, and a more sustainable relationship with movement.

What people are saying

“I can’t thank you enough for helping me out. I appreciate your positive attitude and your willingness to work with someone with such limited ability. So happy to have found you.”

— Tim C.

“There’s an exceptional quality to learning with someone who has made their practice a life. Elizabeth embodies that. She is fully present, and her natural rhythm carries you through each session in a way that feels intuitive.”

— Cady L.

“Your classes changed everything. They challenge me in ways I never saw coming (who knew standing still could be this hard?), and they gave me back that high I thought was gone for good. It’s all been coming together, and today, I felt strong again. Genuinely, wonderfully strong. So thank you. For the challenge, the laughs, the patience, and for helping me fall in love with movement all over again.”

— Jen T.

Let’s find the right starting point

Whether you’re returning to movement, recovering from a setback, or simply looking for more individualized support, private sessions can offer a steady, thoughtful place to begin.

Private sessions can complement recovery and ongoing care, but they are not a substitute for medical treatment, physical therapy, or rehabilitation. If you’re healing from surgery or managing a medical condition, I’m happy to work in conversation with your care needs and recommendations.
